Melbourne Victory confirm Milligan return

In a boost to Melbourne Victory s A-League title chances, Australia international Mark Milligan has returned to the club as their marquee signing.

Milligan, 31, is the second player to rejoin Victory in the off-season, following in the footsteps of Kosta Barbarouses after the side s loss to Sydney FC in last season s grand final.

Victory head coach Kevin Muscat believes the Socceroos utility will be a valuable addition in their quest for a first title since 2014-15.

To say we re delighted is an understatement, Muscat said on Monday.  Mark is a player who loves our club and to be able to secure him for next season is a massive shot in the arm.

He s still a pivotal member of the Socceroos set-up and will be an invaluable addition to our squad as we prep…

It happened to me at Real Madrid – Ancelotti not worried by Bayern´s pre-season woes

Carlo Ancelotti is not unduly worried by Bayern Munich s disappointing pre-season results and recalled a similar situation while in charge at Real Madrid, who then went on to enjoy a 22-match winning streak.

Bundesliga champions Bayern have been busy in the transfer window with James Rodriguez, Corentin Tolisso, Niklas Sule and Sebastian Rudy making the switch to the Allianz Arena.

However, Bayern have been beaten by AC Milan, Inter, Liverpool and Napoli during their preparations for the new campaign, leading to fears about their readiness for the coming season.

Ancelotti, though, pointed to Madrid s warm-up matches for the 2014-15 campaign where they lost to Roma, Manchester United and Fiorentina but went on a record-breaking winning streak and won the Champions…

Rash tango in Paris: Solskjaer delivers best game yet as Man Utd stun PSG again

Manchester United should not have beaten Paris Saint-Germain two seasons ago.

That miraculous comeback by that youthful side was resilient, spirited, but lucky – a result born of mindset rather than tactics from Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, where 28 per cent of the ball and four shots on target somehow became a 3-1 win.

On Tuesday, when Marcus Rashford blasted home his second winning goal at Parc des Princes in as many visits, there was no great sense of incredulity, no vilifying of VAR; this time, Neymar s look of astonishment was aimed at his team s listless display, not at the officials from up in the stands.

That game in March 2019 may have got Solskjaer the permanent job, but this one showed what is expected, what is demanded of a United manager: going to Europ…

Atletico Madrid 1 Chelsea 2: Batshuayi clinches it as Costa looks on

Michy Batshuayi snatched a stunning 2-1 win for Chelsea with the last kick of the game at Atletico Madrid in Champions League Group C, as Diego Costa looked on from the Wanda Metropolitano stands.

Antonio Conte s Premier League champions were unfortunate to be behind when Antoine Griezmann scored Atleti s first European goal at their new home from the penalty spot.

The opener from the man Costa will join in a dream forward line from January onwards, having finalised his Atletico return from Chelsea on Tuesday, arrived five minutes before half-time but Alvaro Morata gave another indication that Conte s side will cope perfectly well without their old talisman.

Morata nodded in a 59th-minute cross from the exceptional Eden Hazard to move on to seven goals in all co…

Anticipation for Black Myth: Wukong was high in the lead up to its release, and since launch, the action RPG’s sales have certainly reflected the sameOnline Betting

As reported by journalist Dean Takahashi on Twitter, former PlayStation CEO Ken Kutaragi recently revealed on-stage at Tokyo Game Show that Black Myth: Wukong sold over 20 million units within its first month of release.

That makes the Game Science-developed action RPG one of the fastest-selling games ever made. For comparison’s sake, Hogwarts Legacy took nearly a year to reach 22 million units sold (and currently stands at over 24 million units sold), while The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the King…
